PHOTOS FROM A RECENT CLASS

Most cultures around the world have always worn their babies, but only recently has this ancient practice gained popularity in the West - and in Hollywood!  Baby wearing consists simply of wearing or carrying a baby (or toddler) in a sling or other form of carrier.  Benefits include:

  • a gentle transition from the womb
  • more intimate bonding
  • closeness, warmth, and security
  • reduced crying and fussiness
  • increased development of infant
  • more confident parents
  • baby integrated into daily family life
  • convenience of travel nearly anywhere - together!
  • increased parental interaction with older children while holding baby close at the same time

Todays options are numerous, and support every body type and aesthetic preference.  One is sure to be right for you!

This class demonstrates how to safely baby-wear in all  styles of carriers (Sleepy, Moby, and Maya Wraps, Kozy Carrier, Baby Hawk, Hotslings, Kangaroo Korner, Snuggy Baby, BabyEtte and more) and in all positions.  We allow time for hands-on practice and include detailed handouts listing where to purchase carriers and even how to make them!  This class is helpful for both parents and may be taken while pregnant or postpartum.
